Also known as Damo Mountain has its roots with Tibetan Buddhism when the teachings spread to Diqing. Damo Patriarch stayed in this cave for 10 years to achieve enlightenment. First day of the 4th month in the Chinese calendar is when Damo reached enlightenment and became Buddha. The believers take a long journey to participate in the pilgrimage around the mountains.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

In order to thank the cow for plowing the field all by itself, the Damo Patriarch (Bodhidharma) offered a white Khata scarf

3. Millennial Ginkgo Tree<\/h2>\n\t

After the 2nd throne holder of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage passed away, to seek the reincarnation of the spiritual child, it
\nhas indicates three places: Changdu in Tibet, Ganzi in Sichuan and Lapu in Yunnan. The monks went out to search for the
\nrelic Ginkgo biloba fruit trees which were planted in these places. Three years later, only the seed planted in the QiBie
\nVillage, Yunnan Lapu sprouted and became a small tree. So they found their way to the spiritual child who later became the third-generation throne holder of Drikung Kagyu Lineage.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tibetan Mani stones are carved with six syllabled mantra \"Om
\nMani Padme Hom\", Buddhist statues or scriptures. In the eyes
\nof the Tibetans, every stone on the plateau has spirituality. Once the scriptures and the Buddha statues are engraved, it is even more a deity.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The site of the project is a prosperous place for Feng Shui and a remarkable place produces outstanding people. Since the Qing Dynasty, more than 30 living Buddhas have been born in the Qizong Village. 7. Black Snub-Nosed Monkey National Park<\/h2>\n\t

The black snub-nosed monkey, also known as Yunnan golden hair monkey is a rare and endangered species that is only found here. It lives in the heart of Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Area, it is also one of China's national treasures, other than the panda.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Also known as Mother River, is believed to be the place where
\nDamo Patriarch shed tears when he was thinking of his mother. The river is about 400metres away from Qizong
\nVillage, and only 150 metres from its starting point to reach Jinsha (Gold Dust) river, the upper stretches of
\nYangtze River. Qizong River is a sacred place to the Tibetans.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
